UNESCO, in collaboration with the KIX Africa 21 Hub, is working to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) and digital literacy into classrooms across francophone Africa. The initiative aims to equip teachers and students with the necessary skills to navigate the digital landscape effectively. This effort comes in response to the growing prevalence of AI and the need to ensure that it contributes positively to educational equity.
The project is initially being piloted in four countries: Benin, Burundi, Côte d’Ivoire, and Senegal. Furthermore, the translation of digital resources into local languages is a critical component of the project.
